the day with a remarkable 2 hour Private Horse Trek through our incredible Canterbury countryside, taking in our 2000 acre property with a mixture of flat river terraces and rolling hills. Take the day at your own pace as you do not have to worry about being disturbed, use your time to explore this wonderful property and take in stunning scenery at every turn.

Half way through your trek you can head to your fully catered picnic, complete with silver service. This will be set up overlooking the Canyon of the Waimakariri River to give you the most romantic setting for your proposal. It will then be up to you to pick the right moment to ask the all important question. She will be both amazed and seduced by this proposal, the right mood, the right place, the right man.

This is suitable for the in-experienced rider and you can explore the countryside at your own pace.

If the weather is not the best we will set up the picnic in our centre which resembles a beautiful old barn.

You will receive the bottle of bubbly at the end of your trek as there is to be no alcohol consumed on the ride, there will be non alcoholic drinks provided with the picnic.

Dress Code

This is up to you although we do advise that you wear comfortable clothes suitable for riding. Warm clothes in winter, sun block and sunglasses in summer. Also don’t forget your camera to capture this unforgettable day.
